Happy Birthday to the U.S.A.! Apologies for the slightly late update today, but it's a holiday, and I slept in. Anyway, hope everyone has a good Independence Day out there. I have heard arguments that the date for the "birth of the nation" should not be July 4th, but rather something else -- the date of Britain's surrender in the Revolutionary War, or the ratification of the Constitution. Which just goes to show that people will always find something to argue about.

More birthday wishes -- these would actually be for July 5th. One of the late firecracker's is my father, who is living in the Outer Banks, North Carolina. The other is my friend, Andrew Young, who is here in Colorado. Happy Birthday to both of you... and thanks for having a birth date that is so easy to remember!
