Jockey Ramerez's equipment was thoroughly checked (even broke his whip and bought him a new one!), and every inch of the horse was examined. All they found was a small abrasion on the outer coronet band where Hawa Al Badi had stepped on her. I guess she just got really mad at being used as a doormat and decided she was getting out of that mess! (Overheard in jock's dressing room afterwards- "Ramerez, you're driving like a bat out of Hades!")

Most Talked-About Horses:
Three very tough fillies in the Shooting Star taking on a host of talented and hungry girls wanting that Stakes win!! Close betting favorites All the More, Ah My Goddess, and Eternal Glory try to hold off the pack!
There were also a LOT of extremely well-bred 3 year olds making their first starts today! The race 1 and 2 post parades were showcases of the finest Arabians foaled in 1999! Sons and daughters of Darley winners abounded today and I was just happy to get to meet them all!
